It also offers a full Arabic numeral display, thin gold hands, and a date display at 3 o'clock. With the Quick Date function, you can set the date on the watch without turning the crown for every 24-hour period. Just pull the stem halfway out, and turn until desired date is reached. It's finished by a supple, burgundy genuine leather strap with crocodile texturing. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. Mother-of-pearl is the pearlescent material found on the inside of mollusk shells like abalone, oysters, and mussels, which can be scraped off, sliced thin, and applied to all manner of jewelry.

I love my watch. This is actually a replacement for one I've worn for 15 years. The dial is more stylish and the illumination really comes in handy... at the movies, when camping, to find something in you purse. AND it looks good. I don't have a bevy of watches, so this is my GO TO one and only.

I bought this watch several months ago, and I absolutely love it, especially considering how inexpensive it is compared to fancier watches. I was worried that if I didn't pay several hundred for a watch, my watch would be ugly or broken within a few weeks. Neither turned out to be the case! What other reviewers said (the band is rather darker than it appears in the picture and the gold plate is a brighter yellow than in the picture), but I still think the watch is very pretty. The mother of pearl face is especially nice. The watch is quite versatile and goes well with a wide range of outfits.
I am most impressed with its durability. I have worn the watch everyday for the past 6 months and it still looks lovely. I even wear the watch to bed because I like to pretend I'm the main character in The Double Life of Veronique. The leather band does get creased easily (it isn't complete leather all the way through). One of two the small leather bands near the buckle that holds the strap down did break off early in my ownership, which I felt was a bad omen, but nothing else has broken so far. I've dropped it, hit it, sweat all over it on bike rides, and accidentally worn it in the shower for a few seconds before realizing what I've done. Nevertheless, the watch still keeps perfect time and date.
In short, I think this is a lovely and functional watch. Do be forewarned, the band is made for small wrists. I don't think the band length on smallest hole will fit the wrist of a starving child in a third world country.

I've had this watch for a few months and its very nice. It lasts when I forget to take it off during my shower. I don't do this often because my last leather band was tathered and fell off due to over moisture. It also holds up to me going into the steam room at my gym. My only issue is the date does not change automatically as it should. It will be the 7th when it is really the 26th. Aside from that I like that it lights up if it is too dark outside and it's looks very stylish on my hand. It also matches well with my gold jewelry.

It is just what my wife wanted for everyday use taking care of a 1 year old baby boy. It looks nice, fits good and has a great nightlight. She wouldn't really want to wear it to the Four Seasons, but to Outback; it's fine.
